Two Local Youth Soccer Clubs Announce Annual Caldwells Cup
Essex County, NJ – The Caldwell-West Caldwell Soccer Club (CWCSC) and North Caldwell Football Club (NCFC) announced today the creation of the Caldwells Cup, an annual Fall soccer tournament between the two clubs. The 2025 Caldwells Cup will take place on Sunday, September 7th and will be hosted by the CWCSC.
The First Annual Caldwells Cup will showcase a day full of soccer matches across 6 age groups for both boys and girls teams. The result of each game will be tallied with a tiered points system, and the club with the most points will be awarded the Caldwells Cup. The event will also include family-friendly activities including a youth soccer clinic for children 5 to 8 years old, food trucks, raffles and more.
“We are very excited to collaborate with the North Caldwell Football Club to launch the Calldwells Cup,” said CWCSC President Frank Lombardy. “Our goal for the event is to start a healthy, local soccer rivalry between two like-minded clubs. We hope it’s an event that families look forward to for years to come and ultimately helps grow the game of soccer within the Calldwells.”
“The kids and families of North Caldwell are thrilled to be a part of this new tournament,” said NCFC President Anthony Rainone. “We look forward to years of healthy, competitive, and most importantly fun, soccer matches.”
